Todd has over thirty years of significant bankruptcy experience. Over that time period, he has represented real estate developers, retail, manufacturing and agricultural businesses, as well as technology companies in bankruptcy and receivership cases. He has also been appointed as a Receiver by the King County Superior Court. Finally, he has represented secured lenders and asset purchasers in a variety of insolvency matters.
Before founding his own firm, he was Of Counsel and President of Crocker Law Group PLLC. Prior to that, he was a partner at Ogden Murphy Wallace PLLC, and an associate at Shulkin Hutton Inc., PS, Foster Pepper & Shefelman, and Hatch & Leslie. Todd was also a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel J. Steiner, United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington, from 1987 to 1989.
Todd is currently on the Executive Committee for the WSBA Creditor-Debtor Section where he is serving as Liaison to the Receivership Task Force. He also serves on the Board of Consumer Education and Training Services (CENTS), a non-profit dedicated to providing financial education and legal resources to those facing financial challenges, and has served at the President of the Federal Bar Association of the Western District of Washington and as a Lawyer Representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference. Additionally, Todd had the pleasure of serving as a member of the Local Rules Committee for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington for six years.
Todd is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education programs. He has spoken at the Northwest Bankruptcy Institute in 2009, 2011, and 2013, on the subject of individual Chapter 11 cases and has spoken on the topic of Washington State Receiverships on numerous occasions. Todd has also presented on consumer bankruptcy issues at the Conference of Chief Bankruptcy Judges for the Ninth Circuit and at the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference.
Todd has been named a Washington Super Lawyer by Washington Law and Politics magazine for more years than he can count. He is AV rated by Martindale Hubble and received a 10/10 (“Superb”) rating by Avvo.com.
When he’s not practicing law, he enjoys mowing his lawn (really he does) and puttering in his garden. An avid sports fan, Todd loves his Washington Huskies, the Seattle Seahawks, and the perennially mediocre yet loveable Seattle Mariners.
